Our Creative Curriculum

At Furze Infants we provide a creative curriculum using engaging cross curricular projects.

This is an exciting and inspiring topic-based curriculum which we have tailored around the needs and interests of the pupils at our school.

The Furze Curriculum, is a creative and thematic approach to learning that is mapped to the 2014 Primary National Curriculum to ensure comprehensive coverage of national expectations. The curriculum is delivered through exciting cross curricular projects which provide a rich menu of exciting and motivating learning activities including creative links between all aspects of our children’s learning.

Below is an overview of our Furze Creative Curriculum Drivers which have been created using a range of programmes including Collins Science, Talk for Writing, The National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

We are working hard to include content across our curriculum which represents our diverse school community.

For more information on our curriculum, please look at the individual subject or year group pages.

Furze-Warren

Hard Federation

On behalf of the staff, pupils and governors of Furze Infants and Warren Junior School I would like to welcome you to our federation. We are two schools working together under one Governing Body for the benefit of our pupils and the success of the community we live in.

We believe our schools gain from working collaboratively, more importantly, we strive to provide a seamless transition for our pupils between the two schools.
