Year 3 Admission / Transition

Furze Infant School and Warren Junior School are a hard federation which means that if your child attends Furze Infant School they will automatically be allocated a year 3 place at Warren Junior School.
If you do not want your child to go to Warren Junior School then you will need to apply via the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham website admissions page and make your application to your preferred junior/primary school online.

Furze Infant Staff and Warren Junior staff have transition procedures in place to ensure a smooth transition for your child into Year 3. Staff meet and discuss each child's needs as well as an opportunity in the summer term for our Year 2 pupils to visit Warren Junior School to meet their new teachers. There are also other events planned which support the process for your child and yourself. Parents will be contacted closer to time.

Reception Places

Is your child due to start school in September 2021?

If your child was born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017, they can start school in September, and you should have applied for their place by Friday 15 January.

If you missed the memo, don’t panic, there is still time and you can apply by visiting www.lbbd.gov.uk/school-admissions.

It’s important to know that getting your child a place at school is not an automatic process, so you still have to apply, even if they are already at a school nursery or they have a brother or sister at that school.

If you need to apply, head to the school admissions page now.

You can also check out this video to help you through the process.
