School Travel Plan

In Summer 2023, Furze achieved the Silver level accreditation for our Travel Plan!

well done to all our staff, pupils and families who helped us achieve this.

In order to help us achieve Gold, we will be holding a new event!

We will provide more information about the activities that will be taking place during the Big Walk and Wheel nearer the time.

Dear Parents/Carers,

This academic year we will be continuing our pledge to improve the health and well-being of all our pupils, as well as the air quality around our school. Throughout this academic year we will be promoting events that encourage children to walk, cycle or scoot to school in order to motivate them to get moving and to reduce the number of cars/ level of pollution around our school.

With this in mind, I would like a say a huge thank you to all families and children involved in our Cycle to School Week which took place 25th-29th September. The number of journeys into school on either a bicycle or scooter increased by a huge 63%! This is an amazing achievement.

Furze Infants will continue to work towards our Gold level accreditation for our Travel Plan and we are excited for all the amazing events we have coming up throughout this academic year.

Thank you for your continued support
