Our School Day

Our Nursery school day is organised as follows:

Nursery Morning session       8:30am-11:30am

Nursery Afternoon session    12:30pm-3:30pm

Morning Drop-off:

In the morning the school gates open at 8:40am.

Pupils will be able to enter the school through the two main gates and then enter their class via the playgrounds.

Reception: 

Reception pupils enter via the playground gate and are accompanied by their parents.

Year 1 and Year 2:

Year 1 and Year 2 pupils enter independently via the main gate (leading to the side walkway) and will meet their teachers on the back playground.

Pupils begin registration and morning learning activities as soon as they enter the classroom.

Gates close at 8:50am promptly - any pupil coming in after this time will be considered late and will have to go to the front main office.

Registration ends at 8.55am. All lessons begin at 8:55am.

Afternoon Pick-up:  Reception/ Year 1 and Year 2

In the afternoon school gates open at 3:10pm.

All pupils are dismissed at 3:15pm. After 3:25pm, any late children are taken to the office.

Punctuality and regular attendance is a high priority at Furze Infant School. 

Parents are legally responsible for ensuring that their children attend school regularly

 and on time and are collected on time.
